The founder

Aleit built his career in the hospitality industry where he worked in several up-market hotels in South Africa, managed a five-star restaurant in the Stellenbosch wine district and honed his organising abilities in the visitors’ division of South Africa’s largest wine company - Distell. Aleit also completed a business degree and became a member of the Public Relations Institute of South Africa. Driven by passion for innovation and intelligent creation, he established Aleit Wedding and Function Coordination in 2002.

Characteristics on which the foundation is based

With his combination of fresh thinking and industry experience, Aleit soon became sought after, earning a reputation for bespoke events that captured his clients’ individuality. “Aleit has always been service driven.....to the extreme! He loves to work with people and is constantly charting new waters. His bubbly personality and calm demeanour helps clients relax as they create one-of-a-kind celebrations.” These qualities, together with Aleit’s respect for clients’ privacy soon established him as the top wedding/event planning service for celebrities as well as high profile corporations.

Beyond borders

Not only is Aleit an expert in his field, but he has instrumentally assisted in putting South Africa on the map as an international wedding destination. Admired for his boundless energy and enthusiasm, he’s become something of a local celebrity and has recently taken on the role as chairman of the Western Cape Wedding Coordinators Association where he keeps a consistent eye on the standards of the local wedding industry, provides support to other coordinators and inspiration to new emerging businesses. Aleit also provides pro-bono services to charitable organizations such as the Tembalitsha Foundation, the Jan Kriel Institute, Kayamandi township, SmartSarmies at St. Joseph School and let’s not forget our furry friends at the Animal Welfare Society. Furthermore, Aleit innovated the Top Billing Win-a-Wedding competition as well as the Renewal-of-Vows competition with the same organisation. He also sponsored a full coordination package for the KFM Christmas Wish Wedding Give-Away.
