The saying: “experience four seasons in one day” was beautifully illustrated at the client year end event set-up in Johannesburg. But that did not stop the Aleit Team from setting up the event space flawlessly while maintaining smiling faces throughout. Set-up phase one went without a hitch and allowed us to start day two with the clear span marquee in place and flooring installed. The second phase commenced with the arrival of the hiring and left us with mountains of sparkling glasses stacked to the rafters. As the sun baked down and the marquee reached close to 40 degrees (fortunately we had air-conditioning on standby), our white and navy deep buttoned bars and truck loads of decor arrived...followed closely by the lighting crew. Forty beautiful white umbrellas were suspended from the ceiling and the look was completed by the addition of twinkling fairy lights in between.
Suddenly it was an immediate call for “all hands on deck” so that we were able to get the specially upholstered furniture into the marquee as a large grey cloud loomed over The Westcliff. No sooner had the last item of furniture been carried into the marquee and the heavens opened...sunglasses stashed, rain coats on and we slipped into the final stages of the event preparation. As the sun set behind patches of cloud, the Aleit Events Team looked around and smiled...it was all looking ship shape!
