All hands are most certainly ‘on deck’ as set up begins at the crack of dawn... Thirteen...yes, you heard me...thirteen separate Bedouin tents are hoisted and intricately sewn together to guard against the imminent rain – we are in Durban and it is Summer after all! The magnificent Fairmont Zimbali Hotel is playing host this year, offering picturesque views of the warm Indian Ocean.

There is no doubt that this is the perfect venue to ensure that our Nautical theme is carried through to the letter. The Aleit Event Projects Team watch in awe as masses and masses of beautiful white flowers are set up in crystal vases ensconced in thick sailing ropes and displayed on striped cloths. Oh, wait! Here comes the custom made furniture which we are placing on the handmade decks of the OSA Restaurant. The tented theme was introduced because we needed to provide shade over the glorious pool deck...and by doing so we have actually transforming this space into an exquisite dining experience...bring on the floating stage people! ”
