Louise and David – Kleinevalleij, Wellington

When a dashing Irish lad and a beautiful Afrikaans girl met, it was love at first sight. This was the beginning of Louise and David’s fairytale romance and their one of a kind wedding!

It was a crisp and bright sunshiny day in Wellington as The Aleit Group was setting up for their wedding at Kleinevalleij Wedding and Conference Centre. Red winter berries added punch to the colour scheme of greys, ambers and off-whites. We called it our “Winter Wonderland”. Flowers were only used for the Bride and Bridesmaids’ bouquets. The brown paper leaf installation behind the dance floor was nothing but a show stopper. It was worth every hour spent pinning up 5000 brown paper leaves!

But with all of this beauty on display, the tailor-made Guinness on tap bar was still the biggest hit of the evening. How can you have an Irish wedding without Guinness on tap? Stir Food once again showed why they are a leader in the catering industry, spoiling the guests with Lamb Shanks and Crêpes Suzette.

Although on this day the wind was not our friend, nothing was too big or too small to move for this amazing couple. “Plan B” launched into action and in a flash the ceremony décor was changed and the pre-dinner drinks moved to the veranda to protect the guests from the wind.
